Best email by far (at least I think so) Gmail - www.gmail.com - you can signup for a free account, it gives you 7gb of storage and growing, you can buy extra if you need it.
you can configure Google mail to collect your pop3 email from five different accounts, setup vacation, forwarding, auto responders, instant searches and lots more.
signing up for Google mail, gives you an account to use online calendar (http://calendar.google.com) and Google docs (http://docs.google.com) also, which are free.
You can sign up for a free skydrive from Microsoft which gives you 5GB of online storage free at http://skydrive.live.com/
